Sunday, April 22, 2012, the different situation comes from the Alun - Alun Utara. It was a crowded place that day. Four thousand people come to see a special event "Kirab Budaya Mubeng Beteng" that was held to celebrate "Satu Abad Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono IX and 256 years Hadeging Nagari Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat." There was unique on that day. A cultural carnival suddenly has come from Alun-Alun Utara since 3pm that afternoon.
 
"Kirab Budaya Mubeng Beteng" procession around four kilometers. A cultural carnival procession route was started from Alun- Alun Utara - Trikora Street - KH Ahmad Dahlan-Wahid Hasyim Street - Suryowijayan Street - Pojok Beteng Kulon Street - Pojok Beteng Wetan Street - Brigjend Katamso Street - Panembahan Senopati Street - Yogyakarta Post Office and ended up at Alun- Alun Utara.
 
A carnival was released by GBPH Prabukusumo and family of Puro Pakualaman at 3pm Contingents who followed the procession consisting of various arts community; a variety of boarding students; organizations such as Karang Taruna DIY, Gafatar and some of political parties.
 
At the "Kirab Budaya Mubeng Beteng" procession also present were several animals such as, elephants, birds, and some reptiles from Gembira Loka Zoo. It looked interesting.
Some contingents that also looked interesting come from some of bicycle clubs, such as Kodja Podjok, PORY, Pit Dhuwur, and the Komunitas Sepeda Jogja Istimewa. The other participants are "bregodo kampung" like Bregodo Astana Luhur Kuthogede Mataram, Bregodo Banguntopo, Bregodo Forcib, and the others.

Participants that are came from all regions and communities in Yogyakarta were prepared one hour before the start of the event. Before starting the Kirab Budaya, members of Forum Persaudaraan Umat Beriman (FPUB), and KH Abdul Muhaimin led the prayer. The National Flag along 66 meters was spread by participants.
 
That's event had interesting the local tourist and the foreign countries. They had preparing some drinks that's was gave to participants during carnival going on.
