It's a blessing for many people who love traveler, there are long weekend holiday in the last year 2009. It's in Christmas Day and New Year, both in Friday. It's a time to travel around some interesting places that never seen before or place that can't reach in 1-2 day holiday. Usually, some workers were taking annual leave in a week. A month before, mailing list of travel or backpacker were contained of travel destination information.

In Jogjakarta, some beautiful places where far away from capital being the most favorites places to go. In Baron Beach, 2 hours from Jogjakarta city, was crowded with tourists who come from other cities in the holiday. The other beaches, such as Kukup Beach, Krakal Beach and Drini Beach were crowded with tourists, but not as crowded as Baron Beach.

The destination not only in the nature place, such as beach or mountain, but Catholic pilgrims had their own destinations, Sendangsono and Candi Ganjuran, both sacred places to devotion. After Christmas Service Morning, they went to the place, spent 1-3 hours to pray and took sacred water, then moved to another place. The street vendor recorded some merchandise, such as cross, book and candle, was increasing 100-150% than before. In Candi Ganjuran, hundreds of people prayed at the front of the candi. A night before Christmas Day, Christians were attended Christmas Eve in local church entire Jogjakarta. The security of Christmas Service were not strict. although some polices and local people secure the service area.

Candi Prambanan is being the most favorite tourist destination during season holiday. It's easy and need short time to reach it. The administration of candi was holding some interesting traditional art events at the yard, performing local artists southern Jogjakarta and Klaten. Tourists not just watch and see heritage building, also see and take picture of the performance. Inside the Kraton Ngayogyakarta and Tamansari Complex were being interesting frame for tourists to take picture on. Both of the places are crowded with tourists.

The increasing of tourists visit in Jogjakarta made economic tourism income increase rapidly. For a day, the street vendor handicraft in Malioboro can sell their products twice than the last holiday. People love to buy unique and personal nature handicrafts from Jogjakarta. Traffic jam was the major problem in Malioboro, it's a consequences of tourism activities. During work hours in season holiday, Malioboro was certainly on traffic jam. Malioboro needs more smart strategies to put up the public facility on.

On the eve of 1 January 2010, it was being the peak holiday in Jogjakarta. Thousands of people were on the streets to celebrate New Year's Eve. In Malioboro, the city closed the street for any vehicles at 7 pm, but not for bike. Hundreds of bikes were passing away on the street. People were walking, blowing trumpet and playing with fireworks at the street and pedestrian. At the north, Tugu Monument was crowded with people who wanted to celebrate New Year's Eve. They made a big circle above the monument. The administrator of Candi Prambanan prepared hundred of fireworks to burn in the middle of midnight. The city prepared firework show at Alun-alun Lor. Some fireworks and trumpet sellers were sold out.

On the middle of the night, the fireworks were burnt, launching and blowing up in the dark sky. In Candi Pambanan, the blowing up fireworks was near of the candi buildings, showing fantastic perform when the colorful fireworks lighted up the top of the candi. Likewise, trumpets were blowing by youth, bells were ringing and shaking hand each other, hope in the 2010 will be better than 2009.
