SATE KELINCI PAK RAJI, Chewy And Sweet Rabbit Satay
Are you ever heard about rabbit satay? Yeah it can be found at plateau. At Jogja you can find it at Kaliurang. If you confused just ask to the local people ''Where was Pak Raji Rabbit Satay Stall?''

Pak Raji pioneered since 1973 and still peddled around. But since 12 years ago Pak Raji opened his satay stall. Many of his customer comes from outside jogja.  His stall does not appear satisfied with the customer but many of them always comes and goes especially at holyday or weekend.

It's not difficult to find this stall. Because only one Rabbit satay stall in Kaliurang owned by Pak Raji. You only need to entered Kaliurang and passed it until you find children playground. His stall located in front of the gate of children playground.

Rabbit satay is not different with chicken satay at glance, especially ingredient. But distinguishing both of them is the meat texture. The rabbit meat is more chewy than chicken. This rabbit satay should be enjoyed while it warm. Because when I was a cold the meat feels tough. Rabbit satay at Pak raji offered Rp 9000 per portion. And Rp 10.000 plus rice or lontong.

Processing of rabbit satay was not much different from most of the satay. The meat is cut into small pieces and then it inoculated to a skewer made from bamboo. One skewer consist of three to four pieces of meat. Then after spiced like kencur, onion, salt, and miri, the meat burned. You can eat them using peanut sauce. It was slightly crispy and sweet peanut sauce as above are usually given a sweet soy sauce. Usually, customers can choose to eat it with rice or lontong.

At this stall the meat is always fresh. In a one day they can cut two or three rabbits, but will be more on holidays. If you want to try this satay , you can directly come. The stall are open daily during the 20 hours from 07.00 pm to 3:00 pm

It turned out that rabbit meat is not just to diet alone. But the rabbit meat is beneficial to maintain the resistance of body Low cholesterol for people with high blood so don't worry if you want to consume this meat.
