In 2012, will be the end year of Piyungan Landfill, the biggest landfill in Jogjakarta. Everyday, tens tons of garbage enter from 3 big regencies in Jogjakarta, from the city, Bantul Regency and Sleman Regency. It will be a major problem in all the cities 2 yeas again! Looking for another landfill isn't green solution to solve garbage issue. The city and citizen have to think about it.
Grebeg is a thanksgiving moment to the God, sampah is garbage. Grebeg Sampah is a starting point to make a new concept of recycle. A long discussion will be started in Grebeg Sampah by Masyarakat Peduli Sampah Jogja (Jogja Society caring for Garbage). The movement isn't only on scientific debate, but for common people, the opportunity socialization of green recycle will run in culture education.
