Undeniably that Indonesian visual world influenced by Akademi Seni Rupa Indonesia/ASRI (Indonesian Art Academy)-now on Institut Seni Indonesia/ISI (Indonesian Art Institute), being educated and well known modern methods and technique, pushing a new face of Indonesian modern art. From Affandi and Hendra Gunawan, one of painter maestro, until contemporary artists such as Entang Wiharso, Dadang Christanto, I Nyoman Masriadi, Rudi Mantofani, Handiwirman, Putu Sutawijaya, Timbul Raharjo, who use unlimited media works. In the theory and art critics, there are some experts who made art discourse more living and multidisciplinary context, such as Kusnadi, Soedarso Sp., Fadjar Sidik, Agus Dermawan T., Suwarno Wisetrotomo, Mikke Susanto and others. Wide progress, a range of artworks and progressive reaching are the main reason why the art school has to document and tracking their own. Such as ISI, as a big art school, which established in 15 December 1949, need to review and reflection their own position in the art world. Imagine how to collect, divide and exhibit thousands of artworks from ISI's students, at early 50's until now. It might be an ambitious art project and also a big opportunity for showing to the public how the art school being an art creativity workshop. At least 551 artists will be involved at the Exposigns art exhibition. It will be a huge art exposition in Indonesia, taking at the interior and eksterior of the building, displaying a small craft until a big sculpture at the open space. Several art media will be exhibited, such as painting, sculpture, graphic design, interior design, craft, multimedia, photography, television and performance art. Beside the exhibition, there will be art workshop, discussion and seminar, photography competition and screening art documentary.
